Print Passport Photos at CVS on a Normal 4×6

Create a compliant multi-copy sheet online, then order a standard CVS Photo 4×6 print — usually under a dollar instead of the ~$17 counter service. This is ordinary photo printing, not a guarantee your application will be accepted.

4×6 passport photo print sheet ready for a drugstore kiosk

Why use a normal 4×6 — not the passport counter

CVS passport-counter photos are staff-taken and priced like a service. If you already have a compliant digital crop, you only need paper.

Counter ≈ $15–17

Staff shoot and print two 2×2 photos. Useful if you want hands-off service.

Your sheet + 4×6 print

Order a regular glossy/matte 4×6 (~$0.30–$0.50). You already paid for sizing online (or used the free sheet maker).

Same paper, different SKU

Pick Photo Prints → 4×6 — never the “Passport Photos” product if you already have a sheet.

Typical steps

How to print your passport sheet at CVS

Store apps and kiosk UIs change. Treat this as the usual path — if labels differ, keep the intent: full-sheet 4×6, no auto-crop.

1

Build the 4×6 sheet

Use Make ID Photo (includes a sheet) or the free Photo Sheet Maker with paper set to 4×6 / 4R. Download the 300 DPI JPEG.

2

Open CVS Photo → 4×6 prints

On cvs.com/photo or the app, choose standard 4×6 photo prints — not Passport Photos.

3

Upload the full sheet

Upload the multi-copy JPEG. Preview must show the entire sheet with all faces visible.

4

Turn off crop / enhance

Disable Fill Entire Paper, auto-crop, zoom, and face enhance. Print at the native 4×6 size, then cut along the guides.

Before you tap Order

Quick checks that keep millimeters honest at pickup.

Product = 4×6 print

Not wallet, not passport counter, not collage.

Preview shows full sheet

All copies visible; nothing zoomed into one face.

Crop / fill off

Any “fill paper” or auto-crop can shrink your 2×2 squares.

Measure after cutting

One finished US photo should read 2×2 in (51×51 mm).

How the print goes wrong

These are the usual drugstore failure modes — not immigration decisions.

Uploading a single 2×2

CVS will print one oversized square. Upload the full 4×6 sheet instead.

Fill Entire Paper / auto-crop

The kiosk zooms and trims edges — your finished cut size drifts.

Choosing Passport Photos SKU

That path is the staff counter service. You want ordinary Photo Prints.
